1. Terms of Use

By accessing ithiJ, you agree to use the platform respectfully and in accordance with community standards. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Content submitted by users remains their own. By posting, you grant ithiJ a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform. ithiJ reserves the right to remove content that violates community guidelines without notice.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. ithiJ is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.

2. Privacy Policy

We collect only the information necessary to provide the service:

• Email address and name — for account creation and authentication
• Content you create — comments, likes, event registrations
• Usage data — page views, interactions (via Google Analytics)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Processors

We use the following third-party services to operate ithiJ:

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU/US servers)
• Vercel — website hosting (global CDN)
• Brevo — transactional email delivery
• Groq — AI chat assistant (messages processed, not stored)
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics (opt-out available)
• Cloudflare — DNS and DDoS protection

4. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• Authentication cookies — required for login sessions (cannot be disabled)
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, used to understand site usage (opt-out available via our cookie banner)

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Deleted accounts have all associated data removed within 30 days
• Analytics data is retained for 26 months (Google Analytics default)

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your data
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data
• Portability — export your data in JSON format
• Objection — opt out of analytics tracking

To exercise these rights, sign in to your account → Dashboard → Account Settings, or contact us via our social channels.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the basis of:

• Contract — to provide the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest — to improve the platform and prevent abuse
• Consent — for analytics cookies (you can withdraw at any time)

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are never stored — we use email-based authentication. Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS). We conduct regular security reviews.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

For privacy requests, data exports, or account deletion, reach us via our social channels or through the platform. We aim to respond within 30 days.
